However, there are a few simple things that can definitely enhance your riding skills, keep you safe as well as make it easier for you to ride longer distances that you thought were undoable on a bike.

Learn the Virtue of Well-Planned Breaks

The human body is not meant for continuous physical labour. Over a period of time the muscles in ligaments in your body begin to revolt with pain and stress. In order to prevent any further physical problem, you need to stop and take a break. Without which, you won't be able to continue further! Just as the body becomes tired, the human mind is also a very complicated calculation machine that makes thousands of calculations every second based on the inputs brought in by your sensory organs. When you're riding a motorcycle the ice and years give a lot of input to your brain in order to make the right decision to keep you safe on the motorcycle. Over a period of time, the brain becomes tired, and it must be given a break so that it stays fresh and rejuvenated to keep you safe on the remainder of the ride. As a general rule of thumb, it is good to take a break after every 200 to 300 kilometres of riding continuously. If you do not want to completely stop, you can also slow down your pace and open the flap of the modular helmet to let in a little cool air which will give you a jolt of energy to continue further.

Get the Riding Posture Right

The riding posture of the motorcyclist is extremely important to keep the body from suffering from painful cramps! What is known generally in the riding community as the rider’s triangle is basically the simple configuration of the palms after rider, his or her head, and helpful stop the triangle that is made of these 3 points should be as spacious as possible to prevent rider fatigue. A lot of this depends on the motorcycle that you choose for the job. Racing motorcycle definitely has a forward leaning poster which is not right for long distance trips. On the other hand, adventure motorcycle is made for merging the miles, which means the riding posture is perfect for staying upright without putting your body through a lot of torture. Cruiser motorcycles on the other hand take it a little bit too far and if you keep on stretching your arms for ahead of you over a period of time it will start to become really uncomfortable! Take your time to choose the right motorcycle for your style and make sure that you have the riding posture right. If you feel that your body is becoming tired, take a break, or better yet consider changing the motorcycle!

Keep Distractions at Bay

Distractions while riding can kill! Never make the mistake of listening to loud music on your smart helmet while riding. This can drown the ambient noises around you and you won't be able to hear a vehicle approaching you from behind. Other than physical distractions such as listening to music, or fiddling with the infotainment system on the motorcycle, there are psychological distractions like thinking about something else other than the road and the Things happening right in front of your eyes. People who use ear plugs while riding a motorcycle should consider the type that allows for a little bit of ambient noise to seep through so that they are aware of what’s happening around them. Totally cutting out ambient noise is not recommended for safety.

Enhance Your Situational Awareness

Let us reiterate the need to buy the best premium good quality helmets for riding because they help you in hands the situational awareness. Good quality premium two-wheeler helmet have wide visors on the front which increases your peripheral vision that lets you taking more visual information for the right manoeuvre on a high-speed highway. in addition to seeing everything around you, you also need to listen to things and keep an eye on both of the rear-view mirrors for vehicles approaching very near you. Tailgating is a very major problem across the world, which you should totally avoid, and prevent others from tailgating you as well. If you see a vehicle coming really close to you, navigate out of their way as safely as possible.

Avoid Target Fixation

Do you often find yourself looking straight at oncoming traffic? This is known as target fixation and it is a common human problem that has nothing to do it your lack of riding skills. Beginners are more susceptible to target fixation, but even experience riders are sometimes at fault of this. Always make sure that you are not looking at oncoming traffic because when you do that the motorcycle suddenly gets subtle input from your arms to go in that direction! As you might already presume, that is not safe! Keep your eyes straight ahead on the open Patch of the road and try to navigate to the motorcycle to that area rather than looking at the oncoming vehicle straight on.

Never Tailgate

Like we mentioned earlier, tailgating is a very dangerous habit. If the vehicle in front of you suddenly breaks hard, you might not have the time to break and therefore hit the vehicle in front of you which might be fatal considering that you are on a two-wheeler with no external protection like that of a car or a truck. Always keep a safe distance of at least twice the braking-distance of your motorcycle. In simple terms, braking distance is the amount of space you need to stop the vehicle under hard braking.

Ride Within Your Limits

Every man or machine has a limit. Always right in your limits and never exceed it in order to stay safe. The moment you post your motorcycle beyond the limit of its performance, the engine become stressed and there is a high likelihood of it giving you troubles that you might not be able to manage at high speeds. Depending on your skill levels, tackle the challenges that are within skill levels rather than trying to do something that you've never done before.
